Directors

John Chadwick

John is the founder and Managing Director of Chadwicks, and has more than 30 years’ experience in financial services.

His specialist areas include investment portfolio planning, inheritance tax and estate planning. He has organised and delivered numerous retirement and mid-career financial planning courses for employees of public and private sector organisations. A graduate of the University of London and member of the Personal Finance Society, John is qualified as a Chartered Financial Adviser and a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society.

John now spends the majority of his time developing and enhancing services to clients for the whole firm. Chadwicks has ambitious growth plans and John is involved with the acquisition of IFA firms, joint ventures with other professional firms and recruitment of high calibre staff.

He lives in Denbighshire  with his wife Jennie and their white German Shepherd and a Chihuahua! Outside of work he enjoys fishing, travel and he is currently writing a book. John has a keen interest in politics and current affairs.

Financial Advisers

Mark Knight

Mark has over a decade of experience in financial services covering pensions, investments and protection with firms in the Cheshire area as well as working in the City.

He prides himself on his diligence and enabling his client’s to meet their aims and objectives. 

 Mark is a Chartered Financial Planner and is a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society which is the highest accolade awarded in financial services. 

In his spare time he is an keen follower of sport and travels far and wide following the Welsh national football team. 

Kevin Horry

Kevin has worked in financial services since 1989, starting in the branch network of the Leeds permanent building society (later part of the Halifax) and moving into providing independent financial advice in 1992.

Kevin, who lives in Tarporley and enjoys cycling the local lanes and further afield when he can. He joined Chadwicks in January 2004. He is a general practitioner adviser, covering a wide spectrum of personal financial issues. Many of his new clients are referrals.

Kevin holds a diploma in financial planning from the Personal Finance Society and continues his studies towards chartered status. 

Kate Pierce

Kate has been a member of the Chadwicks team since May 2002, having previously worked for a national IFA.

Her objective for financial planning is to enable clients to organise their assets to realise their full potential. Kate believes it is important to simplify jargon and complex financial matters for clients to help them make wise decisions, particularly around transferring their occupational pensions.

Kate is Advanced Diploma qualified and has achieved Chartered status. Not content to stop at Chartered status, Kate has progressed even further and is now a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society.

Kate lives in Tarporley and mostly enjoys spending time with her young daughter, family and friends.  Zumba is her favourite fitness activity along with walking and cycling.

Clair Lythe

Clair joined Chadwicks in early 2013 as Office Manager and PA to the Managing Director, having previously worked for a National IFA firm facilitating the needs of the advisory team. 

She initially began supporting the existing advisory teams clients while a member of the research team before transitioning into managing her own clients in 2019. Clair qualified as a Mortgage Adviser in 2008 and went on to complete her Diploma in Financial Planning in 2017. She has obtained specialist qualifications in Advanced Mortgages and Equity Release during her journey to achieve Chartered status this year. 

With almost over a decade of experience within financial services, Clair is able to support her clients through all stages of financial planning from obtaining their first mortgage to later tax, retirement, investment and legacy planning.

Clair prides herself on giving her clients the best experience while building their knowledge to help them achieve their financial goals throughout life.

Robbie Pierce

Robbie joined the team at Chadwicks in January 2020 having previously spent over 15 years working with retail customers and commercial clients in tailoring financial solutions to their needs.  Robbie’s experience has led him to believe that communicating in a clear and concise manner, which is easily understood is paramount to building and maintaining ongoing relationships with his clients.

During his time within the Financial Services Industry, Robbie has attained his Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and plans to continue with his studies towards gaining Chartered status.

Robbie lives in Denbighshire, North Wales and loves spending his spare time with his wife Louise, and their two wonderful little boys.  As a family, they’re all about the outdoors and feel very fortunate to have been brought up in, and still live in such a beautiful part of the country.

Researchers

Jennifer Candy-Jones

Jennifer has worked in financial services since 2002 where she started as a Paraplanner for an IFA in London. She also worked for IFA firms in Reading and Oxford before joining Chadwicks as a Paraplanner in 2010.

Jennifer is Advanced Diploma qualified and has achieved Chartered Status. She is also a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society.

In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family and walking her dog.

Clare Grigg

Clare joined Chadwicks IFA in December 2018 as an Administrator and spends her time providing admin support for the team of Financial Advisers. Previously Clare has worked in Marketing roles for national & international brands.

Clare is currently studying for her diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.

Clare lives in Cheshire with her husband and two children. In her spare time see enjoys walking and spending time with her family and friends.

Sally Jones

Sally joined Chadwicks in February 2016. She has been employed in Financial Services since 2001 and has spent much of that time working as an authorised senior paraplanner for Brewin Dolphin.

Prior to this, Sally worked as a paraplanner for Baker Tilly Financial Services, Scott Lang & Co and a National IFA.

Sally is Diploma qualified and would like to reach Chartered status in the future.

Sally lives in Chester and enjoys spending time with her husband and two young boys.

Chadwicks IFA

Administration

Alison Dixon

Alison has worked in Financial Services since 2001, beginning her career at NatWest Bank initially starting as a Customer Service Officer.

Over her 6 years with the bank, she worked her way to become a Private Banking Managers Assistant looking after their most affluent customers. Alison then went onto join Chadwick’s in 2007 as an administrator and then progressed to office manager.

Alison lives in Wrexham and outside work enjoys spending time with family and teaching fitness classes.

James O’Neill

James has a strong interest in personal financial advice and has previously worked for NatWest Bank, where he gained experience of a variety of financial products and services when he worked as an introducer for the financial planning managers.

James now provides admin support for two of our adviser and their clients.

He lives in Denbigh and enjoys collecting and listening to music from many different genres.

Natalie Martin

Natalie joined the company in September 2021 and provides admin support for the financial advisers and paraplanners. Although this is her first role within the financial services sector, she has many years’ experience working as an administrator and within customer service roles. Since starting at Chadwicks she has passed her Financial Administrator Diploma, including her R01 exam.

Hilary Davies

Hilary works with the administration team, supporting the advisers and paraplanners, her background in Insurance and client services over the years ensures she always aims to provide the best customer service possible when dealing with client’s queries and requests.  Hilary really enjoys her role and is always looking for ways to increase her knowledge and skill set. 

Outside of work, Hilary enjoys family time, and is kept busy with 3 young grandchildren. To relax she enjoys her garden, growing her own fruit and veg, crafting, and taking long walks with her 4 dogs.   Hilary is also a volunteer at a local dog rescue and is looking forward to hopefully getting involved in the fostering process in the future.
